How to connect Machines to Dust Exstractor?
« on: June 22, 2013, 10:07:03 PM »
I have an Axminister Dust Exstractor,at the minute, I have to switch on Exstractor, after I connect to any of my Machines. Is there a product on the market, that would allow me to plug in all my Machines, and then switch on whatever machine I am using, and that would automatically turn on the Dust Exstractor? It's a small issue, just wondering is there any Electrical Product on the UK market, that would suit my purpose.

Which extractor have you got Paul?

If it`s just a 13amp 3 pin plug one you may be able to use a remote controlled socket which is about the cheapest option, just ensure the rating of the socket is up to that of the extractor.

Otherwise Axminster do this type of gear but it`s rather pricey  http://www.axminster.co.uk/auto-extraction-controller-units-dept812758_pg1/

Cheers.
