Here is an attempt at colouring, because it has colour and more than one type of wood does this make it art
Made from Sycamore and Ebony, textured and coloured using colron acrylic stain. About 5" diameter.

Hello John,
well it might have taken a while, but the wait was worth it. Great job, and a good start on your journey with colour, texture, and
decorative
turning.
I'm getting into the
Great Debate
- things always end up getting nasty - and I think my own views are well enough known to cause general if not universal offence.

Thanks for your comments , I thought the form was similar to the one that Martin did recently, I liked the shape so did one myself. The texturing was done with a Sorby texturing tool with a fairly wide wheel.
I suppose I am an artist now and the shed is now a studio, are the rates cheaper on a studio?
regards
John

I like the colouring as well John.
Now you're an artist perhaps you'll have to have a different hat
Cheers Dave
