Not woodturning, but if these petitions irritate the Govt then I'm all for them...

We changed the proposed Craft not Art thing, now let's have an English Patron Saint...

Ye gods, Andy.....they must have so much time on their hands. Whatever next? Tom Jones as the patron saint of Wales? I think not!

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Andy,

and why not.

However I'm quite happy with St Eligius, the Patron Saint of Craftsmen - the REME Corps Saint, so it fit's my bill.

And of course St Catherine, the Patron Saint of Turners.

Responsible department: Department for Business, Innovation and Skills ...  Anything for a day off ..   ::) ...  To sign, well if it's a day off .. then I don't get many of them off.

So ALL this time .. it's NOT Saint George ...    :o ... or Saint David .. Saint Andrew .. Saint Patrick ...

If anyone, how about Max Boyce for Wales ..

Cheers ...

Interesting as to the (Breaking) Wheel, as with the Cross, Burned at the steak or other forms  ... all means of painful execution ...

Should we not have Saint Alban as the patron saint of woodturners, we`ve all suffered for our craft  :(

Cheers.
