Very nice Andy, a bit gruesome with the claw but I love the vessel.

Andy,

the wrapped linen effect is good. Not sure about the claw, different, but may struggle to find an appreciative purchaser.

Also I don't know my avian claws, but if it came from a raptor of some sort (even road kill, you may find yourself answering strange questions to people in uniforms!

Maybe I'm wrong and it's pheasant and it'll 'fly' off the shelf - you never can tell.

Very nice vessel, Andy. The colours and the texture are great, but I too am not at all sure about the claw. How have you achieved the texture and colour? Malcolm.

Andy...

I don't know what it is across your way.. but it's something in the way you're going with your work ... excellent form, exquisite details and finish ... but the claw had to go..   :D ..  Sorry ..   :( ..

Got to say , I also prefer it without the claw.

You could call it ' The Chancellor's Urn' as you even have to pay VAT to get spread around.  :)

Sorry, Dragonfly...

the short answer is I can't be certain. It's all that was left from an animal kill site. Well, that and some grey feathers. And blood.

I should take it to the museum and find out.

Although we've been in the new homestead for a year now, I saw my first deer today.

Roadkill at the bottom of the motorway on-ramp. would have liked the antlers but a bit of a dangerous place to stop. The carcass was well tenderised as well, so probably nothing worth having anyway!
