Discus Form

Here is a Discus form turned from Exeter Elm well that's what it said on the label.I turned this sometime ago it is about 250mm x 55mm.comments welcome.Regards John

Hi John Thanks for you comments I have had this a few years and no one has ever shown any interest in purchasing it,I first saw Jimmy Clewes turn one of these I liked it so I turned 3. Maybe I will get round to posting them one day.Regards John

 I can't believe thats no one has bought this the shape finish etc are perfect and a nice markings in the wood.

I also remember Jimmy Clewes doing one of these and I tried my hand as well. I think yours is a great example and it surprises me that it has;t been snapped up.

nice piece of wood, and a favourite form of mine. Though not always in the bowl form.
