Dave is right about PAT tesing not being mandatory, it is not required by law, but all electrical equipment must be in a safe condition and one of the simplest ways of doing this is by PAT testing.

hi ALL
As for PAT testing if your lathe is electronic variable speed then all you can do is a visual and not a full PAT test as it can damage your lathe doing the test. as for the demonstrators list with the AWGB from doing the training day I am willing to join the list my only problem is that I work during the day and would only be able to travel a small distance to do demos. I have done 3 at my own club and one at Andrew halls club.
