« on: April 06, 2014, 07:48:44 AM »
Hi All

My latest finished piece Horse Chestnut Burr pot 140mm x 150mm

Entered my Oak bowl/platter in the club comp yesterday and received a commendation not bad for 3 months turning :)

Very impressive, Ed, not only with the Burr, it has a nice form and finish. But recognition in the form of a very nice certificate from fellow Club member.  Well done.

Cheers David

I really like the evenness of the grain in the bottom of the platter, I know it's the luck of the blank, but your work has managed to enhance the overall effect through it.

As for the Burr Pot, I'm impressed that someone who's been turning as short a time as yourself has mastered the retaining of bark, not an easy task, very well done.
