Hello, I've just become god father to a wonderful little lad called Rowan and I'd like to make him something out of that timber. Does anyone have any? It's hard to get hold of. Obviously I'm happy to pay. I'm based in South Wales/South West England but might be able to organise collection from other areas.

Hi , Congratulations on the new arrival , May help if you mention the size of the timber you require

Hi, thanks for your response. I'm aware that rowan trees don't grow very big so I'd be happy with what ever I could get to be honest. I'll work out what to make when I have the timber. Hopefully something bigger than a pen blank.

A reasonable sized Rowan bole or bough might make a good baby's rattle?

Steve Earis (seventh devil) had some Rowan a while back. Otherwise there are a few timber wholesalers up in Scotland who sometimes have stock.
