Title: Children's stools
Post by: oldfern on July 09, 2021, 04:25:02 PM
Two stools tocommemorate children's christenings, pyrographed with dedications. In oak, 8 x 12" seat, 9" legs. Through-tenon wedged legs, which I like the look of, but find them harder than closed tenons not protruding through the top of the seat.  The legs are at 12 degrees in two directions, achieved by an inclined plane jig on top of a bench press table tilted at 12 degrees.  Circular seats are easier, only requiring a tilt in one direction.  I would be interested in anyone else's methods for drilling the angle.

Just wanted to say that I think these look lovely. The pyrography is very neat and I like the way you have oriented the wedges at 45 degrees all round.
