Title: christmas turnings?

well, my youngest nephew got a baseball mitt from santa and guess who has to make him a baseball bat...

i offered actually, he was going to buy one of those aluminium ones.

Don't forget to scale it to his height.... which means you need to make one about every six months  ;)

he's 11 and needed a 30" bat as you need one the same as half the measurement of your arm span fingertip to fingertip.

i've made his 36" long to account for a bit of growth. it is also slightly heavier than he would like but he is a growing lad and making it this size means his older brother and his mum and dad can play if they wish.

Or get him down the shaed and talk him though maing his own! He will treasure this longer than any other bat

i'd love to but wouldn't be able to as my sister keeps both my nephews very busy.

i don't think they get any spare time even for themselves. activities include, swimming, hockey, football, skiing in the alps, a million bloody holiday a year, after school activities and i think even piano and drama classes.  the boys love doing them but they get no rest poor buggers.
