This promising tome arrived yesterday. I've had a quick scan and have to say that it looks very informative.

Les,

So far a very it's a interesting read, lots of spindle work and ideas.

More than that a good rescue. While looking for it I discovered that the American Library has declared it a 'Book of Historical Importance' and have reproduced it. However I was able to find an American selling a 1949 first edition copy at what I considered a very good price with a near pristine dust jacket, so I freed it from it's impose exile and brought it back home.

As an aside, the image on the front is of the a Scottish Tulloch Mazer. I've no idea what that means unless it's what we now call a Tazza.

cracking book isn't it, nearly a decade of work has gone into that...

i never thought that i'd see my name in print let alone a wood book. i'll have to get a load more samples over to him for when he does the revised edition...
