Have to agree with the others, a lovely piece. Shape, piercing, it all works for me.

well your last one may not have ticked all my boxes but this one certainly does.

Well, that one's certainly different, isn't it! It's a real winner and such an unusual idea to let the pattern of the piercing flow through the lid as well. One question....are all the areas of piercing outlined by (and therefore, dictated by) spalt-lines?

Thank You Pete ..... Much Appreciated.

Much Appreciated Steve........ The Piercing took me quite a while...... Problems with Hands / Shoulders so could only do
   in Short Bursts.

     Thank You  Les  Much Appreciated.
All the piercing is within and dictated by the spalt lines..... I really had to concentrate to keep it in the Those lines  ;D ;D
Nearly slipped a couple of times. I did the dark parts because it was a lot firmer.

Now that I do like. I find that 20 minutes at a time is my limit for piercing work, I also find that it is easier to do the thinner the piece being pierced.

Love it,

You could take the hard work out of the piercing just get a shot gun  :)

I do not understand the circle in the third picture. It is pierced all round why hasn't it fell out ?

I think that what you're referring to in that picture is a small area defined by a circular spalt line, Graham....it isn't pierced at all.

Thank You ED..... Thought on similar lines....but Tony refused Point Blank to wear a Tin Hat....said it would spoil his Hair  ;D ;D ;D

Thank You John (BHT ) .....Having pierced a piece some time ago were I did the soft wood ( white ) I found it very difficult to
control. Tony suggested this time I did the Dark Part although it was hard, I found the control much easier, but the tip got
      a bit hot  ;D ;D ;D... With Tony.... as far as wall thickness goes John  I get what I`m given :) ;D ;D ;D

Graham ..... Les is right.. If you look on the left of picture 3 you will see something similar.

As Always Your Feed Back IS Much Appreciated. D&T

What a stunning piece!
I haven't yet mastered the patience, or skill for that amount of piercing, but will certainly persevere if results can look like that.
