Title: 10 minute bowl
Post by: Bryan Milham on July 09, 2013, 09:09:04 PM
Les,

this one is for you.

In your Rippled sycamore bowl post you said you'd finished it in 2 hours. This is a video of Brendan Stamp (the Aussie woodturner responsible for the ladder in the RHS Chelsea Australian Garden) - Flash to bang (or blank to bowl) - sub 10 minutes.

Gee, thanks, Bryan....that did wonders for my confidence. I'll put the speed-differential down to the fact that I occasionally stop to turn on the dust extraction, unlike our Antipodean friend...ha ha!

Surely he stopped for coffee?

Here's my 7 min bowl. No sanding needed :)

Andy,

I thought I'd seen all your posted YouTube videos, but this one is new to me.

Well done, a much more relaxed turn than Brendan's.

With practice he will get quicker.
