Title: New convert on the way

An 18" x 12" Yew log running very slow at the start I have just finished turning the outside but I;m in need of some liquid sustenance were's the cans

First of yes it was a good ol cup of rosey The inside is now removed the sanding and oiling will have to wait till tomorrow

That's putting the Maxi to the test ...  nice look round your shop and tools too .. yew done a good job so far .. hope it's still ok in the morning.

I haven't been able to  finish it today I had to go to the shop with some more bowls and pens then my son took me to see the new James Bond film but I had a look at it when I got home and it is still intact thank goodness I hope to finish it tomorrow

It's always good to wrap the piece if leaving it over night with a bin bag containing the shaving, helps keep it stable.

Treated to the new Bond film ... was it good ..   :( ..  are flicks in town wanted £ 8:00 what ever time you went to view it ...   :o ...  I'd not pass for concessionary price .. if they had one ...  ;D ..  soon be on DVD no doubt if their to make the money it cost.

Outside sanded and had some Teak oil applied hope to finish the inside tomorrow

Woody, that's some lovely figures and the white sap wood again, do you plan to roll the base to finish it off.

It will be one beautiful piece once it has your usual finish standard.

No I dont plan on changing the base the wife loves it as it is and seeing as I'm making it for her it has to be left as she wants it

Finished and her indoors said it is to blah blah big and it was all done to her speck you cant win can you LOL still it can now go up for sale
