Afternoon All
A small goblet, 160mm high x 75mm at its widest, did some colouring on it because the wood was very bland.
c&c welcome
All the best

Elegant is the word that springs to mind.

Very nice , colours work well together

What did you use for the colouring & black and what finish? Whatever you used, they work.
The shape of the whole goblet: the foot, stem and bowl is excellent, and the colour is just right. The gloss finish shows it off nicely.
Exactly what is needed for a bland piece of timber.

Very nice goblet.
Like the contrast between the green goblet and stem and also on the base. The green colour makes it look like glass..

That was absolutely the right thing to do. It's a great shape, but bland wood would have detracted from it....the colour really makes it sing!

I am not a great fan of Goblets but I like this a lot it reminds me of a red Wine glass

Great shape - do you have an image of the goblet without the color so we can see the before and after ?

Hello Andy, many thanks for posting the 'before' image, it shows how much work was involved with the coloring - all the best.
-
What a beautifully elegant goblet and coloured to perfection.
-
Great goblet Andy see my comments elsewhere.

Thank you Eric and Derek, I'm pleased that you like it :)

The shape, especially of the bowl is just perfect.
The applied colour is so delicate and the gloss so high, it could almost be a piece of artisan glass.

I do like the shape of your goblets, and although I am a big fan of colouring wood myself, this is a little too far for my taste, I'm afraid. I reckon it'll sell pretty well at craft fairs, though, as there seem to be loads of people who just love the glitzy stuff.

Thank you for your comments Fuzzy, if we all liked the same stuff it would be a pretty boring world to live in, I don't do craft fairs but this shifted pretty quick to a friend so alls good
