I have not posted for a while so I thought I would come back with the last turning of 2015.
It is a Yew bowl finished with sander sealer and canuba wax on the buffing system. Measures 7 1/2" X 1 1/2". C&C welcome

Very nice. Can't beat yew for the sheer exuberance of colour and grain, and it is such a pleasure to work with.

Clean and simple....exactly what's needed with grain like that. Good finish, too.

Derek,
It's been a while, nice to see you back with us. Yew is so dramatic it never needs much except a good finish, you've hit that right.
And the hole with the pale sap wood adds just enough 'other interest'.

Looking good Derek
I'm liking the feature of the hole

A nice bowl Derek, you have to just love Yew and the best way to show it is with simple shapes.

Thank you all. I think this is one of the top woods as so many like to turn it.
