Title: Woodturning Online
Post by: Philip Green on January 05, 2014, 12:31:38 PM
The very good Woodturning Safety article on Paul Hannaby's web site has been included in the latest edition of Woodturning Online: http://www.woodturningonline.com/index.php?utm_source=nl_jan2014&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletters (http://www.woodturningonline.com/index.php?utm_source=nl_jan2014&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=Newsletters)

Well done Paul. A reminder on health and safety now and then will help us avoid becoming complacent.

For the same reason, the presentation at the first Treknow Woodturners meeting of the new year is Health and Safety in the Workshop with our safety officer doing the health bit and me doing the safety bit.

Philip, A very good find, it's excellent to see Paul's Woodturning Safety article is appreciated Worldwide ...

One Safety point over looked and needs to be thought about with Chemicals and finishes in public, is to advoid spaying spirit stain inadvertently towards spectators when demonstrating .. even if they want a clear view as to what is being done ... just my observation of events.

Cheers  David

The page is, as stated, aimed at workshop safety. Demonstrations are a different ball game.
