Hi all,
My Microlene has developed a problem where it cuts out after a few minutes. Does anyone know whether there is anyone that could service repair it, or should I just bite the bullet and get a new Thor machine?
The machine has had a good few years of abuse.
Any help appreciated.

As I recall John, the motors in these have a thermal cutout built in so it could just be a case of cleaning it all out and blowing the motor through with an air line. If the air circulation it blocked the motor will overheat. If I lived near you I would happily have a look at it for you however I think this would not be an option.

I agree, first job is to take it apart and give it a good clean. If it still plays up after that then maybe look at motor bearings and brushes.

Thanks Bill & Julian,
Many thanks for the quick replies.
I will take it apart when I have a spare moment and see what is what.

If at any point you’re in any doubt about reassembly, takes pictures as you go to refer to later! ;)

Finally had a chance to look at this.
Took it apart- not much is accessible, and amazed to see how clean it was inside, seeing as its had nine years of work. Reassembled and working, however when plugged back into the ceiling socket started playing up. Removed the remote control socket and working again. so it seems that it was not the microclene at fault but the remote socket. A lot cheaper to replace!
Thanks all for your help.
