Title: Variation on the theme of previous pot
Post by: Andy Coates on June 14, 2013, 09:42:32 PM
Slightly different shape. Hollowed with lid. Fully pierced, pyro'd and acrylics again.

Speeded up the piercing by using a spiral cutter to do the roughing and then back to the Microdrive for final cutting.

Andy you may have broken the record for the most views for a piece on the forum, and deservedly so. You are giving the open segmenters a run for their money with this one.
Lovely.

Andy,

these are your thoughts you are exploring, from what you see inside your mind's eye, our comments are from what we see of your work.

But if I may, have you considered rounding the carved edges a little. Stones/Bones do not have sharp corners, I think a more organic feel would appear like this, but I don't know what you're looking for, so...!
