Hi all,
an idea of a new vase shape, I think.

That one's a very attractive piece, Jo....well outside the box! From the title, I was trying to imagine what it looked like before I opened the link to it, but I didn't guess what was coming. Do you mind sharing with us how you cut the joint between the lower bar and the sphere?
Les

Thanks Les,
I start with a square wood, paint on the subsequent ball and drill the holes. Then I turn the ball.
The back side.

I like it Jo, an so simply done, the mind can have one thinking always to how it's done.

Cheers for sharing.  David

Jo,

Thanks for the second picture, I was having trouble seen it from your description, all is now clear. What a wonderful idea and what an execution to achieve this piece.

Wonderful and well done.
