A silver birch bowl I roughed out some months back, got to finish it today, its 260mm diameter x 85mm high, c&c welcome

That's a beauty. Gorgeous wood, pure outside form flowing up to a lovely incurve rim. I also like that you did not turn it too thin. Great work.

If caught at the right time Andy silver birch can be one of the most stunning woods around, you seem to have
caught this just at the right time. Nicely turned ..

When I read the heading, I nearly didn't bother to look, as birch can look a bit bland, but you certainly found a beautiful piece to work on, and did it justice!

Its a bowl, but it's not about the bowl is it? It's the wood that is the story here and it is wonderful in its colour and grain.
You've done it proud.
