Title: Chair restoration,
Post by: steve w on January 12, 2017, 07:47:10 AM
Hi,
I was wondering if anyone on here might be able to help - i have a broken chair which was my Grandparents and i would like to have it repaired, i think the one joining section needs re-turning and sections re-glueing, i could just do a quick glue but i would like it to be used and no just an ornament - i know there is a vast knowledge and experience on here so hope someone might be able to help - i do expect to pay for the repair,

i would thank you for any advice and help,

Steve.

I am down in Wilthire but there are a number of capable turners on here who could do it for you.

I think one of your better bets would be Steve Heeley. He's in Cannock, and does lots of spindle work. His website is here (http://www.steveheeley.co.uk/).

never used gorilla glue but i believe it is an expanding foam type so in my opinion would not be best for a repair like that.

let me see some pics and we'll take it from there.
