Could it be reverse ? although often a reverse switch has a sort of guard round it-I'm guessing here

Found this-no mention of reverse but it does offer free download of pdf manual-might help.

The switch is probably for switching between the main controls and remote controls.

Since yesterday I have looked at several images of the Stubby 750 and have not found any with the same configuration of switches as yours. This sort of leads me to wonder if it was a mod.of some sort by a previous owner-maybe to switch on a light or a dust extraction system.
Just a thought.

Thanks Mike and Paul for your feedback ...... after working on it this morning found the switch is wired to the inverter
but also one wire coming from the stop wiring , when wired all up it didn't seem to do anything when switched on but the
lathe ran fine, so in the end we decided to disconnect the switch until I can find further information .The only thing we
could think was it had something it do with the torque . The biggest problem though is you have to dismantle the whole
lathe to get to the electrics.
Thanks Both For Taking The Time.

Your welcome Tony,it was fun searching-here's one thing I found which fascinated me-I did wonder if it was a speed ramp switch. http://www.statelinewoodturners.com/files/UpgradeYourLathe.pdf

Thank You Mike , I was showing Di the lathe after putting it back together after disconnecting the toggle switch.
So turned it on then stopped it , it stopped too quickly for my liking so Di said is that what the toggle switch was for (Bingo )
and after reading the link you posted Bingo again.... will now have to take it all to bits again . ;D ;D
Much Appreciated
