Title: Wood for bannanas
Post by: Lazurus on July 13, 2020, 09:20:43 AM
Can anyone suggest a suitable timber for wooden bannanas, I thought I used bubinga before but upon looking at on line images this appears too red so not sure what I used but it did look very realistic with an oiled finish.

Bananas come in yellow, red and green varieties so take your pick lOL. (Also black if you leave them hanging around too long)

Pau amarello is what i use for lemons, looks pretty realistic to, I hadnt thought of Obeche, looks like a good contender, what size are your stock?
