Hi Paul. I had a Dakota chuck, which I had to replace when I changed lathe, so I bought a Robert Sorby Patriot....the jaws were not compatible for 2 reasons.....Dakota jaws are numbered, whereas Robert Sorby jaws are not, and the stpe/groove that locates the jaw onto the chuck scroll is marginally different! I had hoped to be able to keep the old Dakota jaws to use with my new chuck, but wasn't able to.

Hope this helps.
