Title: How To Make A Donut Chuck For Woodturners
Post by: z3ddie on May 30, 2015, 11:00:26 AM
Don't know if that has been posted but it is a very nice idea for reverse chucking bowls - I don't really do bowls but can see it being useful for some of my lamp bases
Apologies if already watched.  The guy is a bit long winded about it - I would have just trimmed the board down and trued them on the lathe but these Americans do have some nice toys in their workshops (jealousy!)

I frequently use a donut chuck for finishing bases. It is so much more secure than a longworth chuck or similar. Easy to make too with some MDF or ply and a few nuts and bolts. Malcolm.
