Title: Wood in Northampton
Post by: Andy Coates on May 20, 2013, 05:11:53 PM
16 'rounds' cut from a 70yr old ash tree last November, plus a few cut ash & cherry plum limbs.
Would any Northampton wood turners be interested in collecting them?

I would like something made from the wood; an owl would be nice ( I know that requires a carver rather than a turner) or a small bowl.
...

If anybody is interested please leave a message here and I'll PM the contact email

Hi Andy

I'd be interested as I live in Northampton. Can't make an owl though, I think any attempt at carving would be on my fingers!

Thanks Andy

All collected and in the process of being stored for seasoning. In the meantime, I think I'll have to feed the bandsaw some steroids!
