An oak bowl 9" x just under 2", finished with Yorkshire Grit and Hampshire sheen

That's a beauty Andy, reminds me of the old saying ,''Less is sometimes more'' let the wood do the talking where did you get the blank ?

That piece of wood is very interesting , Design turning and finish look very good

There is some stunning colour in that wood, the top picture looks like ripples in the sand at the beach.

Thanks for the comments, I get a few pieces from a friend who manages the grounds at a local uni not far from me, sadly a lot of the wood gets destined for fire wood
