In same ways this isolation thing is good as it gives us time to try out things that normally we put into a to do list. These needle cases are a good example. This is one variation that Mo has done. Also got two ther ideas in progress ...watch this space unless bored LOL.

Pete, I'm never bored of seeing what you and Mo turn out i your collaborations.
I love this and cannot see it sitting around on your shelves very long.

Think it might be sold already Bryan

Mo adds a lot of value to what was a simple box, it is now truly art. I have been distracted by a van full of raw tree, but that will of course generate more off-cuts and I will return to this concept.

Looks good. Is it Pyrographed before colouring?

Mo ( my wife) does the decorative work. She draws the design free hand in pencil then pyros the outline. The pyro prevents the ink from seeping in the wood as well as adding texture. The cpolouring is achieved using calligraphy inks, she then adds fine detail with pyro e.g. fish scales etc.
You can see some of the detail she puts better in on this butterfly

Yes I thought that was the case. Lovely work. She must be using a very fine tip to get so much detail.

Pete I suspect isolation pushes the necessity and necessity is the mother if invention. An interesting new product and no doubt it will have great appeal to a section of your customers.

What an absolute little cracker.....someone is going to be a very proud owner.

Thanks al, actually enjoying this isolation, not that it is all that different to every day life in some ways. Good to just do some of the things that we have been thinking about but not really had time to explore.
