Title: Latest piece
Post by: iantivenan on September 26, 2012, 05:17:11 PM
Hi All, This is my second photo for the forum. My first try at hollowing, it's a branch of Yew measuring 170mm high by 85mm wide. Wax finish and lightly buffed.
Thanks,
Ian

Ian, This is a great piece for a first in that form for a second post, I like what you've done, unusual colour for Yew.

Well done              David

I agfree with David about the colour, in fact the grain looks like Laburnum - might it be?

You have done a wonderful job of the vase but I'm also sure it isn't Yew but as suggested it looks more like Laburnum
