Very nice.
What is Butchers block oil
Regards George

as it says it is natural oil that is used on butchers blocks. I think it gives a good food friendly oil finish that I like to use on bowls. thank you for your comments.

The second picture made me think the rim was too thick, but it isn't, you've lightened the whole turning with the shape of the bowl and just left a good rim to hold onto.
It looks something like a map. The burr has the contours of the land and the burr pips are rock formations on a windswept coast against the darker wood that makes up the sea.
I like it lots.

hi dr4g0nfly
thank you for the comments. I didn't think of the pattern that way just that it added caricature to the bowl. George this is the oil I use. http://www.woodcraft.com/product/124024/butcher-block-oil-pint-saf.aspx
