Title: A bit of history.

At Saumarez Park Folk Museum guernsey yesterday. There was a replica carpenter's workshop from late 1800s. BHT note a place for everything and everything in it's place. Plus some wood shavings for good measure. The most fascinating item was a WT lathe rope driven from a 5 ft dia hand operated wheel. I guess 12 to 1 ratio pulley. There was a rack of spindle gouges and a 2" wide skew.
May have some photo's later off my daughter's iPad.
