Nova Chucks

I recently noticed on social media that the latest Nova chuck now tightens the same way as other wood turning scroll chucks - IE righty tighty, lefty loosey! I thought folks may like to know.  ;)

That'd confuse me as I've been using Nova for over a decade LOL always take mine to demos hoping they wil fit the club lathes

I wonder if an old lefty tighty Nova could be converted to a righty tighty by fitting a new scroll wheel? The jaws look identical. The scroll is available as a spare part.

I used to run a Nova and a Sorby (jaws are compatible) so needed to know which chuck was on especially when removing from a fragile mortice! Long live the confusion ;D

Bill21.   You would need to change the jaw carriers as will as the scroll ring.
