David Springett challis

I found a article from David Springett   and his Challis woodturning no 147. here is my version of it in Ash. All comments welcome. size 6x12". Still to put a finish on think I am going to put a Danish oil on it.

I always find it interesting, trying to reproduce or interpret another persons work. I do it with a small collection of ceramics I have, strangely glass or ceramic into wood rarely works and I have to modify it to make it look attractive.

I can see the similarities and also the small differences, So how did you find interpreting this piece?

Personally, I'd give it a good buff of bee's wax and leave the oil off of it.

thank you for the comments. I actually enjoyed doing this the drawings I went of were easy to follow I just wanted to change it slightly to put my twist on it.

That looks like it was a lot of fun to make, and well worth the time very nice piece.
