The Fallen

The basic shape was turned as a bell to represent the bells that stopped ringing during the wars.
The pyro texture at the base and inside represents the footprints of our solders in the trenches.
The poppies of remembrance decorate the body of the piece.
The poppies that have been cut out and lay at the base of the piece are for the people that gave their lives.
The three large poppies with their strong stems show the strength and sacrifice of The Fallen.

Very clever, very well executed - and very meaningful. Where will it be displayed?

Very, very impressive and quite moving......
It's a pity that so many people only remember once each year.
I've seen a few war graves and they just leave me speechless.
Thanks for the thought that went into that work
Best wishes - Jim

Ed,
very moving but as you say it started as a bell shape, I think you've cut too much away as the bell no longer shows in the finished piece which I think is a great shame.
