The Axminster 1628 is a copy of the Killinger 1450, same castings but re-engineered. I know a couple of people that have the Ax and are very pleased with it. I have the Killinger and it's very robust, try a visit to your local Axmintser Store (if you have one) and have a try. It's going to be down to the use or abuse that you give it that will decide. -- Julian

Be careful with guarantees , Some say they have a 5 year , however its a split guarantee , 1 year on electronics 5 years on the cast irion and stee parts
Make sure you ASK as dealers wont offer this info
Have fun
