Veins of Gold

I've had this lump of Elm sitting in my wood store for 4 years so mounted it on the lathe a while ago weighting at 114lb.

The finished bowl is 11" tall and 23" in diameter.

The voids and opening have been coated in Chestnut Gold Gilt Cream.

Don't know where the time as gone. Been keeping an eye on the forum but just not posting anything.

Ouch Derek, what are you trying to say mate  . I have been in my workshop turning loads of things.
I went over Ed's to collect a few things today and I took a look at this bowl and I can honestly say that the picture's don't do the bowl justice, it's a lot bigger than it looks and it needs to be seen to be appreciated. Les
