I love the way that fairly random grain patterns suddenly come to life and help to make up the landscape in these pictures.....a good size, too.

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Thank you Les Pete and Ed I am pleased you like these there wont be anymore wall plaques for a while as that is the last of the wood.
I will be doing some more with glass and wood as soon as I can think of some new ideas.

George,

A goodly while ago Mark Sanger made me see that wood, at times, is only the carrier of further work.

You've turned that back on itself, making the further work become a necessary part of the wood to reveal the hidden picture. I can see the abstract designs you created at the start of this journey with wood and glass, but it's already come a long way, to now creating a whole picture by the addition of a single additional image in the glass.

Are you bringing this to the club tonight?

HI George

really like this, especially the way that you have used the split in the pith top right, it looks like a bird swooping down to land on the trees.

I've seen this in the round this evening.

If you think it looks good in the photo, it looks so much better in your hands.

Eye Catching George.... Will admit though, to preferring the more abstract look you have achieved on the
sculptures you did using this idea.
  Kind Regards Tony di
