Apollo's Aspis

Burr Oak this piece is around 540mm tall and 380mm wide finished with Danish oil.

Base need's a little more gilt cream

Lovely piece, I wouldn't do much to the base, Looks right in the image at least .

      We have always found that choosing a plinth / base for anything is the hardest part.
          Like This As Is Ed...... Very Effective.

Must be a magical  Aspsis, there's nothing to hold onto on the reverse!

But it looks stunning from either direction.
