Some of you might remember the walnut burr bowl that was posted last year..... This is another piece that I wanted

I love the difference in the white Walnut growth wood and the darker heart wood, it always creates such an interesting contrast.

Not sure about the shape though, it loses the curve towards the opening.

Tony, I've had some time to play in the workshop, I'll post a few items (including a small hollowform) in a day or so, It'll be your turn to critique me.

Because of Bryan's comment I keep returning to this piece to see if I have missed something but I cant see where it loses the curve

It works nicely for me....love the contrast in colors and you've got a cracking finish on it, which isn't always easy on walnut sapwood.

   Thanks George...... Thanks Les

I did Cheat  a bit here, the sap wood started off with a lot of burr but by the time I had turned most of the inclusions off
the curly burr did not show off very well, also the sap wood had darkened when drying See new pic.( base )bleached it with
two pack bleach x 3 it still did not return to the original white but think it looks better than it did.
   Regards Tony

Thank You Tony....When first cut the sap wood was a brilliant white on drying it went a mucky brown
  hence the bleaching.
  Kind Regards Tony d
