Would have looked better with thinner rim and smaller base.

Also these look a lot better with a smaller rim on the actual bowl, defines it better. Looks as if you have got it nice and even thickness though which is the hard part I find.

Beautiful wood with beautiful grain. The turning, abrading and finish looks great.
Your first photo, viewed from above - perfect  - I like the shallow curve across the top face of the rim and the proportions of the square outline to the round bowl are perfect to my eyes.
2nd photo - of the piece viewed side on,  not quite perfect - and I'm unsure what would improve it without destroying the perfection when viewed from above (i.e. the great bowl/rim ratio), perhaps a less tall bowl area (i.e. perhaps the inside and outside of the bowl could have been shallower) - perhaps a thinner rim - but spalted can be punky so spalted often can't be taken as thin as non-spalted. But these are  real nit-picky especially as items like this are normally placed so that you look down on them, they aren't placed at eye level and viewed side on - well done - I like it

Very nicely worked and finished but I agree with George and Pete, the rim is too thick. It gives the bowl a heavy appearance instead of a delicate one unfortunately.
