burr chestnut natural edge bowl.

a customer was asking if I had ore could turn them a natural edge bowl so I set to and turned this chestnut bowl it is 14x13x3. all comments welcome

        That's a  cracking piece of  Chestnut  you have got there Dennis......  don't see Spalting  in it very often really 
        sets it off.... well thought out and presented.

I usually like a more rounded base but I do like the 'splash' effect here with the irregular edge.  Great piece of wood very nicely turned.  Will make an excellent feature piece.

A great piece of wood, burr with grain rings, it's almost like looking at a map of some mountains.

If I was being very picky I'd say the two sides of the sweep of the ogee don't quite match, but it would be being very (very) picky.

thank you for the comments and I was the same as you after I finished it I thought that I could of done better in arears to improve the shape.
