So SWMBO and I took a couple of weeks in the Channel Islands, our first holiday since her spine issues 6 years ago. I'm in deep do-do as I managed to spend 5 days suffering from something unrepeatable while she had to play nurse to me. I am informed it will cost me something 'Dear'!
Look as I might, there was nothing I could find about wood turning as a pastime or livelihood on the islands,someone said they thought there was a man 'somewhere' how 'did a little'.
But while I was up and about we visited the Guernsey Folk museum and I thought I'd share a copy of this picture of a lathe I took, just so we can all feel better about our own lathes!
