Tilted box
« on: July 18, 2016, 12:04:15 AM »
As most of you probably know by now, I do quite like making boxes. Especially boxes that are a little different. So here's another one of those odd pieces. All exotic hardwood: zebrano, african blackwood, wenge, padauk, purple heart and sapele. This was made from an original design, and I can say that it matches the design drawing almost 100%.
I am struggling with my camera, to be honest. It seems I cannot get the white balance right, and then I have to faff around with the images. In consequence the pictures here are OK, but not great, especially when it comes to actual colour representation. I'll probably need to spend some more time figuring out how to get this right. So apologies if the pictures look a little odd. In any case, all  C&C welcome.

This appeals to me so much more than the microphone box. It's lines are much more pleasing and that extensive range of timbers used seems to work well together. Good one, fuzzy.

This looks very crisp the mix of woods and the design all work for me. I think the box would work with almost anything you sat it on

Only thing I can find to criticize is your choice of wood, I really don't like zebrano LOL. Seriously it is a really inventive idea, keep 'em coming.
