Wow....love it. I know from past experience that turning so much fresh air at slow speeds required great care and delicate tool control....sounds contradictory on such a big piece doesn't it.
The design, carving, texturing and colouring is just right to be striking without being overpowering. I must say the blank you set out with looks well chosen too, being quite even it'll have made it all the easier to balance up. Would like to see more of your work Darren.
