Problems with Facebook ?
« on: March 24, 2016, 06:40:36 PM »
Anyone else having problems ? It is asking me to verify my identity by naming pictures of my friends ( fat chance with 1000+ ) or submit copies of driving licence and prove of address etc ( even fatter chance ) which they have never had so wouldn't verify anything anyway.

As it stands I am now OFF Facebook !!

I have learnt the first rule of woodturning.
The internal diameter should never exceed the external width.
Nor the internal depth, the external height.
Does that make me an expert now ?

Its a scam. Seen this before, trying to hack into friends accounts by naming the people.

You could try Les but I suspect it is official. If not they have done it really well.

Hi Graham

Just had a look and can't see you on there either, I would email Facebook and see if they can reinstate your account. Do not reply to the message that you have been sent.

Thanks Les and Ed.
I haven't been sent a message as such. I get the same screen you are seeing but I van go one screen further by trying to log in which says I must prove my identity. It offers me two ways to do this. Firstly I can identify several pictures of my 'friends' and it said beside that that the hourly limit was exceeded. The second way was to send them prove of I.D and address which is obviously not going to happen and would be irrelevant as they do not have that info anyway.

I am sort of assuming that they are saying that I am recruiting friends to fast as they did warn me a few months ago that I have to actually know them all !!! but I haven't recruited any in the 36 hours prior to this happening.

It shouldn't be a friend issue. Try deleting all internet history and cookies and try to log in again.
Let me know how you get on.

Graham,
I did warn you, it is the communication channel of the devil.
Perhaps you could write them a letter!  :D

Ryan. If it were a cookie issue then surely other people would still be able to see the page ??
