of centre bowl turning.

thought I would have a go at turning a of centre bowl and this is the outcome.

Is it just me or can I not see the off-centre. I can see the piece is elliptical as a blank, but the bowl section certainly looks centred in it.

the outside of the bowl is turned on 3 chucking points to get the shape and then reversed to turn the bowl to finish.

You are certainly going to corner the market in horrible.
Another poor shape why don't you try and get nice flowing shapes instead these steep sided flat bottomed things.

wider I appreciate what you are trying to achieve here and it has worked to  a certain  extent but not enough to show up much. I applaud the fact that you are experimenting with your turnings but looking closer at this piece I can see that there is torn grain and unfinished or poorly finished areas. I think you would be better placed if you concentrated on form and finish and basically learn your trade craft before branching out into the more challenging aspects of the craft.
 This is meant to be a positive critique thst will allow you in due course to produce the ideas that you obviously have.
