All credit to you for turning such a fragile piece. The grain is beautiful and the natural voids lend it so much interest, but I feel that the preponderance of straight edges detracts from the natural beauty of this piece.

Education is important, but wood turning is importanter.

Beautiful wood, well turned but agree about the straight edges. Sometimes hacking at it and burning can work but it is a gamble. Always difficult to know how far to go with pieces like this.
