Very white growth wood, very dark heart wood, what a stunning wood.

The effect its created is great to look at.

We cannot see the whole thing but from the top it looks well made.

It really would be beneficial to see this piece from more viewpoints in order to be objective, but what I see I like.

Is this English or Holm ( Ilex or Evergreen Oak ) ( all the same species )  ??

Thanks guys. Apologies for the single image, the studio is out of commission for a few days so that's all I did for now.   What sort of oak......I believe it may be Turkey Oak (quercus cerris), but I'm not certain.  Investigations will ensue......
