I get the same message. I can access your blog but can't see any sign of the post you mention.

It is on a topic on my Blog called.

How to create a wide rimmed textured and coloured bowl.

I don't know how to sort it and I am off to do a demo in our club tonight then away for two days on a course.

I think the scorched rim is a great idea set it off well and makes up for the timber as it does not have a well pronounced figure.

If more people were to follow my Blog I would do a lot more of this sort of thing if people found it interesting.

Looking at your blog, you've obviously had a good number of new/improving turners through your workshop which is probably testament to your nature and teaching style. Do you ever wonder how many have continued on their own? I hope the majority !
I myself was taught by Dave Bates down just outside of Dover and I'm still in contact with him, asking his advice or just visiting his shop once or twice a year.

Hi Steve.

A very difficult question to answer as a lot of my Students are from all over the country and ounce they leave here I lose track of them.
Also a lot only come for an experience day with no intention of becoming woodturners.
Some come back for further tuition and a lot of the users of this Forum have been to me for tuition.
